Hawkeye: Custom Display Setup
The pages in HawkEye can be customised (or a new one created from a blank page) to display any instrument of choice. To edit a custom page:

- Right click in the button page
- Select edit
Or:

- Bring up the setting panel if collapsed
- Click on the “Page management” section
- Click on the “Edit” button
Once in the layout editor, new instruments from the tool box can be added to the page, as show below:

- In the tool box, press the left mouse button down on the instrument type
- Drag it across the layout editor grid
- Drop it by releasing the left mouse button.
Each instrument has a default size when dropped on the grid, depending on its type. However, to avoid any overlapping, its size will be adjusted automatically.
Other features are available in the layout editor:
- Click on this button to delete all the instruments from the page. It is also possible to delete only the selected component by pressing the “DELETE” key on the keyboard.
- Rename the page; the page name is displayed on the navigation bar, on the button that gives access to the page
- Copy the selected instrument. The selected instrument will be duplicated and dropped in the next available space.
- Save the current instrument configuration (position, size, colours) in a layout file. Upon clicking on this button, the user will be invited to browse the disk and select a directory to store the layout file.
- Load up a layout file into the page. A layout contains instrument placings for a single page.
- Right-click on an instrument to bring up the property inspector panel, and edit its graphical properties.
- Return to the live screen. Default channels will be updated to the new instruments added to the page.
Note that the selected component in the page is highlighted with a red contour; to select an instrument, simply click on it:
