"Classic" Overview Screen

The Overview screen provides a quick reference to the data being received by the HawkEye.

  1. Speed / sound / speech channel panel
  2. Bar chart which provides a peak-hold overview of the overall level of any channel which the HawkEye has registered. Any of the channels listed in the peak-hold plot can be selected and ‘dropped’ onto any instrument on any of the available screens, allowing that channel to be viewed in more detail.
  3. Oscilloscope instrument provides the time history waveform for the selected channel.
  4. FFT/Spectrum instrument provides a view of the signal in frequency domain (amplitude vs frequency).
  5. Campbell/Periodogram component displays FFT/Spectrum information with historical data included.
  6. Order track plot

To change the channel displayed, select it in the bar chart, and drop it on any instrument from the page:

  1. Select the channel to display, by clicking on it in the bar chart (above, channel 5 is selected).
  2. Drop it on any instrument on the page; all the instruments will display the channel.

Option “Simple click to select a channel” in the “Overview” tab of the HawkEye preferences allows selecting a channel by simply clicking on it in the bar chart (so step 1 only).

The bar chart can be replaced by the alarm button panel, using right click on the overview button in the navigation bar:

The alarm button panel will be used to select a channel, by clicking on the appropriate channel button.
