HDR Data Management

HDR6464

Safely managing the data on an HDR requires a few key steps to be followed:

  1.  HGL Data Transporter is active and automatically archives data,
  2. A Removeable Drive is present for Data Transporter to use, and
  3. Use the HDR interface to delete data.

The steps to follow to export data and maintain a "clean" system are:

  • Start a data recording and immediately start a manoeuvre.
    • A Manoeuvre is necessary for any future data analysis. Making a Manoeuvre now simplifies the process.

HDR Manoeuvre Active

  • Once the test is finished, stop the manoeuvre then stop the recording.
  • Wait for the data to be archived to the removable disk. This is indicated by watching the status of the External Drive.

HDR Archiving

  • Once the data archive is complete, go to the data management page, select the engine to delete and select the "Delete Data" button.

HDR Data Management

  • This will delete the specified data on the HDR's internal / local disk using the expected mechanisms while preserving the data on the Export Disk.

HDR Data Management Recordings

  • You can delete an entire Platform (also known as an Engine) or browse down to a lower level and delete a Test, Configuration, or a specific recording.
  • When data is deleted, all child data that belongs to a parent level is alsodeleted.
  • There is a confirmation before any data is deleted.

HDR Delete Data Confirmation

At this point, the data has been deleted from the HDR and all data has been archived onto an external disk that can be accessed on an external system or used as a back up.
